Configure NearForums to work with multiple TimeZones.

Feb 19, 2011 at 2:39 PM

Hi all,

I have a question about NearForums.

I've set up my forum by downloading the source code and deploying to my web server.  I've noticed that out of the box date/times are rendered using the UTC timezone.  Does NearForums provide functionality for displaying dates in the users local timezone?

Thanks.

Please forget this as I have found the timeZoneOffset attribute in site.Config

Sorry.

Hi,
For Greenwich mean time, use timeZoneOffset="0".

Hey cpsaez,

There is alot of options that aren't shown in the site.config that you can configure via the Admin dashboard.

This one is Admin Dashboard -> Settings -> General settings, when your logged into an administration account.

Cheers
