I discovered nearforums today while searching for a replacement to my terrible install of phpBB. I'm a c# application developer so I thought I'd try it out.
I run a couple of sites on Azure, and I'd like to be able to keep everything in one place.
I'm new to SQL server (am used to MySQL/ mongo) so I am unsure how to modify the db creation script to work on Azure. This thread: http://nearforums.codeplex.com/discussions/357378 leads me to believe that it is possible!
I'm copying and pasting the SQL to the SQL query window in Azure. I get a lot of errors though... (e.g. "Could not find stored procedure 'sp_addrole'." , "Cannot find the user 'aspnet_Membership_ReportingAccess', because it does not exist
or you do not have permission.", "Cannot grant, deny, or revoke permissions to sa, dbo, entity owner, information_schema, sys, or yourself.", "User or role 'aspnet_Profile_FullAccess' does not exist in this database.").
Would anyone be kind enough to give me a step by step guide on how to get nearforums working with an Azure SQL database?

SQL Azure will be fully supported in next version (9).
In the meantime, if you are interested, you can use these scripts:
Execute them in the following order:
- mssql.create-membership-all.sql (ASP.NET Membership scripts modified based on MSFT KB )
